More than 600 students earned their master's degrees at Georgia State University's 102nd commencement, held Dec. 14, 2016 at the Georgia Dome.

The following students have earned the distinction of Dean's List at the Georgia Institute of Technology for Fall 2016.

To be placed on the Dean's List at Lincoln Memorial University (LMU), the student must be a full-time undergraduate and have a 3.5 grade point average for the semester.

To qualify for the dean's list, a student must have earned a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attempting at least 12 credit hours of coursework. Dean's List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

After winning three races against Campbellsville, Christina Klouda (SO/Knoxville, TN) has been named the Mid-South Conference Swimmer of the Week, announced by the conference office Monday. This is the second time this season that Klouda has garnered this award.

The Georgia State University International Education Fee (IEF) Study Abroad Scholarship, initiated in 2004, is funded by the international education student fee.

Several area students graduated from Roane State Community College following the 2015-16 academic year. For the first time, Roane State broke the 1,000 mark in graduates for an academic year with 1,076 students earning 1,101 awards. Here is a list of the graduates. Cum laude indicates a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5-3.69. Magna cum laude represents a GPA of 3.7-3.89, and summa cum laude indicates a GPA of 3.9-4.0.

To be eligible for the Dean's List, students must earn a 3.50 GPA for the semester and complete at least nine semester hours of academic credit with no incompletes.
